'Rustic Trips' are our high-school travel programs during the school holidays. Individual students aged fourteen to eighteen can join peers from around the world and travel to some of the world's most exotic and exciting destinations. Come and meet like-minded students from Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada and Europe, and share some of these unforgettable adventures! Rustic Trips offer the perfect opportunity for students who would like to travel without their parents or school group.
Rustic Pathways offers a huge number of trips to choose from. We have over 80 different trips on multiple departure dates during the school holiday periods. Some of the trips are available in December and January, but most of the programs are currently scheduled during June and July. Join us in Thailand to volunteer at our orphanage, trek through the jungles in Costa Rica or spend a week at the foothills of the Himalayas in India. Your winter holidays will never be the same again!
Rustic Pathways is a world leader in high school travel for students from North America. June to August is the northern hemisphere's summer holiday period and we have thousands of high school students travelling to all corners of the globe. These programs are now available to students from Australia, New Zealand and Asia. Come and join one of these exciting adventures!
Nearly every trip listed on this website already has a group of excited, energetic students ready to travel! Come and join them! Some of the programs are almost full - some programs may be sold out by the time you contact us. When you call us, we can tell you how many students are already on the program that interests you.
Rustic Trips typically focus on community service, life skills, adventure and foreign language. Some trips are heavily based on community service, others are purely adventure-based, and some focus specifically on learning a foreign language. Many of our programs combine adventurous activities with community service work.
Most students come on Rustic Trips by themselves, but leave with a new group of friends from around the world. Some students start bring a friend who they share the whole experience with. There are so many like-minded students on each trip, and meeting new people is one of the many strengths of these programs. You will learn to become more independent, develop your self-confidence and form life-long friendships through sharing these amazing travel experiences.
Our seven and fourteen day programs easily connect within a country or a region. If you only have one week free in the holidays, there are heaps of programs for you. If you have the flexibility to stay for longer, then most programs can be connected so you can customise your travel experience!
